As part of the activities to strengthen the rural water and sanitation sector in Nicaragua

FISE is carrying out a survey to update the 3.0 system of the Rural Water and Sanitation Information System (SIASAR), with the aim of updating the existing drinking water systems in each municipality in the country. This survey is carried out with the participation of technicians from the Municipal Water and Sanitation Units and the members of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Committees of the communities.

Siasar 3.0 knowledge transfer workshop was held at the PDA Santander

El Sistema de Información de Agua y Saneamiento Rural (Siasar) en su carácter de plataforma informática colaborativa de alcance internacional, está concebida para la planificación, cargue, validación, reporte y administración de información sobre comunidades, sistemas, operadores de servicios y prestadores de asistencia técnica, que contribuyan a la entrega de servicios de agua para consumo humano y doméstico y saneamiento básico en zonas rurales. El Ministerio de Vivienda, Ciudad y Territorio (MVCT), a través del Grupo de Política Sectorial, capacita al personal designado por los departamentos y por otros delegados en la implementación y uso adecuado del Siasar en sus territorios.
